5,000 rural health workers set to train

Rural health care providers working in remote areas of the country have a key role to play in reducing maternal and new-born deaths, medical experts have revealed in a new report.

Over 5000 village health workers across the country have been enrolled for formal training by the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) in an effort to boost the quality of the rural health workforce.
