Activists see light at the end of ‘FGM war’ tunnel
Efforts to fight female genital mutilation (FGM) is paying. There are indications to that effect as shown through the decreasing number of girls who undergo the ritual each year. One of the reasons why FGM is decreasing is the introduction of alternative rites of passage training provided to young girls and boys in communities which practice FGM.
