This week, Kali TV sits down with young Nigerian designer Maryam Elisha who showcased her designs at the DC fashion week.

The 2015 Swahili Fashion Week (SFW) came to a pulsating close this past weekend. The 3 day event saw some of Africa’s biggest designers converge in Dar es Salaam to witness and take part in what has become East and Central Africa’s biggest fashion spectacle. Designers from South Africa, Nigeria, Rwanda, Kenya, Ethiopia, USA and hosts, Tanzania all took part in the event which was marked with sheer fashion brilliance as the runway was lit ablaze with spectacular designs.
