Arusha golfer takes weekly fiddle trophy

Newly-crowned Uganda Ladies Open champion Angel Eaton will be the major attraction in the Weekly Fiddle golf tournament.

Moshi Club golfer Abas Adam lived up to his billing after carding 157 gross strokes to lay his hands on a shiny NHC Lugalo Open trophy on Sunday evening. The two-day 36-hole Stroke Play tournament was held at the Lugalo Club and Adam looks to have re-discovered his good form after struggling for the past few weeks. 

Lugalo Club’s Brand Mitchel stole the show at Lugalo Club on Friday as he snatched the Weekly Fiddle golf tournament title with a convincing victory. Mitchel walked home with the top prize after outsmarting a host of big name golfers in Division A, including Priscus Nyoni and Vicky Elias.

George Kapinga of Lugalo Club was a happy man yesterday after emerging as the overall winner of the Junior Golf Championships at the TPDF Lugalo Club.
