Pre-orders of the new Band Aid single to tackle the Ebola crisis have been "manic" since its unveiling, organiser Bob Geldof has revealed.

Bob Geldof says a new Band Aid charity single will feature Elbow, One Direction and Ed Sheeran, with money raised used to fight the Ebola outbreak.

The British nurse who survived Ebola, William Pooley, says the “cultural ignorance” displayed in the Band Aid 30 lyrics is “cringeworthy”.

Patrice Bart-Williams, who is among a group musicians who recorded a German version of the Band aid song on Ebola, says he is not entirely happy with the outcome.

The British-Ghanaian rapper didn't feel the message of the Band Aid 30 song fit with the message of The New Africa Movement.
