>Usafiri Dar es Salaam (Uda) and Dar es Salaam Commuter Bus Owners Association (Darcoboa) have established a new company that will run the much-anticipated Dar es Salaam Rapid Transit (Dart) project.

A total of 138 buses for the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project arrived at Dar es Salaam port yesterday, setting the stage for the start of the grand public transport scheme next month.

While licensing of buses under the Dar es Salaam Rapid Transit Agency (Dart) is yet to commence, Dart has declared that the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service is expected to commence in the middle of next month.
