Burundi army accused of murder

>A man suspected of murdering a woman in a Cardiff hotel in the UK on New Year’s Eve has been arrested in Iringa Region.

More than 7,000 men and boys have died in Nigerian military custody during its fight against Boko Haram, says Amnesty International.

Six people have been accused  of murder in connection with Stakishari Police Station attack in dare es Salaam in July this year.

The main suspect is the widow of a Dutchman whose body was found in a septic tank in Kenya.

The security forces in Burundi systematically killed dozens of people during violent repression in Bujumbura on 11 December, Amnesty International says.

Burundi’s army said that 79 “enemies” and eight soldiers were killed during the bloodiest day in months of unrest Friday, which left the streets of the capital strewn with bodies, many bearing gunshot wounds.
