The Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee (PAC) yesterday rejected the audited account reports of the Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC) and the Tanzania Standard Newspapers (TSN) after it learned that the institutions’ management had failed to fulfill some of the team’s directives.

As the meetings of the Constituent Assembly (CA) committees kicked off early this week to debate on Chapters One and Six of the Second Draft Constitution, the absence of the duly signed copies of the Articles of the Union emerged as a thorny issue.

The government yesterday firmly attempted to clear the mystery surrounding the Union between Tanganyika and Zanzibar by vowing to submit the Articles of Union to the Constituent Assembly (CA) chair tomorrow.
