It is now official. Former Speaker of the National Assembly Anne Makinda is not seeking to be re-elected for another term.

Dodoma. Three more CCM cadres picked up forms seeking the ruling party’s nomination for presidency.

Nine CCM members yesterday collected nomination forms for the position of the Speaker of the National Assembly after the ruling party kick-started the process to pick  its candidate.

The unwritten rule on rotation between Zanzibar and Mainland also was a key issue for stakeholders who identified credible aspirants.
