Chadema parliamentary candidate for Mbarali seat Mr Liberatus Mwang’ombe, who was defeated by CCM 's Mr Haroon Pirmohamed, will contest the result in court.

The results announced by returning officers in respective constituencies indicated that CCM still occupied in its strongholds in Morogoro, Dodoma, Tanga, Tabora and Mtwara regions.
