Cheka to fight in England Nov 7

Tanzania’s boxing sensation Francis Cheka flies to Manchester, England today for his non-title fight against a British boxer.

Boxing fans will have to wait a bit longer before witnessing the WBF International light-heavyweight fight between Tanzania’s boxing sensation Francis Cheka and Russian Valery Brudov. Cheka, now camping in Kenya, has been forced to ask for the postponement of the eagerly-awaited bout after suffering an injury.

Tanzania’s boxing sensation Francis “SMG” Cheka has turned down a chance to vie for the vacant World Boxing Union (WBU) belt.

Cheka fought against Matthew Maclin in Sept 2008 in the UK where he lost on points
