How it feels to live in extreme poverty
I am currently volunteering at Mpapa Health Centre in a rural area of Tanzania. I have now delivered over 25 beautiful babies and am always busy caring for patients who come walking from villages miles and miles away to receive treatment that most of us would have from our own medicine cabinet.

Climate change must be dealt with
We are also proposing an Africa Wide Programme on Mitigation. Africa is not a big emitter of greenhouse gases, but we see a lot of merit and benefit in the continent charting out an environment friendly development path. Indeed Africa’s contribution to climate change from fossil energy and transport sources in the global context is but only worth a footnote.
