Dar runners miss C’wealth Games

A prominent long distance runner, Zakia Mrisho, has expressed optimism that Tanzanian athletes will bag medals at the forthcoming 2014 Commonwealth Games in Scotland.

Tanzania will be represented by swimmers and runners at the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) Youth Games scheduled for Gaborone, Botswana from May 22 to 31st.

With just 255 days to go before the 2016 Olympic Games start, Tanzania has two athletes only who have qualified for the quadrennial showpiece.
