DEAR DIARY: Why would anyone kill a child?
It is hard to imagine that someone can harm their own child, leave alone a baby. It is human instinct to want and protect life instead of destroying it, especially that of a child. But things happen and sometimes, they happen to you.

DEAR DIARY: Taking a child from her mother
>For the past few weeks, there has been media frenzy on a child custody case involving a prominent politician. If memory serves me right, this must have been the first time that we had such a case involving child custody of a star family. I personally didn’t know that the two had a child together until I saw it on the news. And from the day the story hit the news, one event led to another.

DEAR DIARY: Every child needs a safe home
>Being a mom is fun but let’s face it, it is hard. It requires a lot of sacrifice. It involves a lot of changes and I am sure that there is no way that you can be a mom and not be changed by the experience. How do I know?

DEAR DIARY: It’s not goodbye but see you later
>Leaving on a Jet plane is a song by John Denver, but most people will identify it with its first line All my bags are packed I’m ready to go. My mother loved this song and she hummed it every morning under the bougainvillaea tree as she took a nap. Sooner or later her demise hit us like thunder on a sunny day.

DEAR DIARY: Good looks will get you votes
>Women vote for good looking men. Don’t we? Before you protest, hold it, hold it ladies… We don’t have to look very far to test the theory. Our dear President is a good example. If you voted for JK, how many of you would say that his looks didn’t cross your mind at all when you were voting? Be truthful now.

DEAR DIARY: Tuti, until we meet again
>Tutindaga Anania Mwambungu was my friend. We weren’t the kind that spent all weekends together, or chat over the phone every now and then. We only shared brief moments when she was alive.

DEAR DIARY: Be independent and pamper yourself
>My girlfriends and I were in Zanzibar last weekend for Sauti za Busara. We booked the flight three weeks before and hooked up with a friend in the Isles who gladly let us stay in her house.

DEAR DIARY: The future is not as I envisioned
>It is amazing that we only have 32 days to 2015. I often smile to the thought that I am in the future. 2015 is a big year, no doubt. It is the year that governments have placed deadlines to different development goals. It is the year that we will have our general election; it is a year of many changes indeed. Look at yourself; this is how the future looks like.

>When it comes to how we eat, the psychology behind our eating behaviour makes me appreciate the stories behind each meal.
