Death toll climbs to 7 as TMA warns of more rain

The number of Tanzanian pilgrims killed during Hajj stampede in Saudi Arabia’s holy city of Mecca last month has reached 25.

A fifth Tanzanian was yesterday confirmed to have died during last week’s stampede in the holy city of Mecca.

The rain that pounded Mwanza city on Monday was the highest to be recorded in the month of November for the past 18 years, according to the Tanzania Meteorological Agency (TMA).
