DGC to host junior tennis event

Dar es Salaam. Tanzania finished  overall winners at the ITF/CAT East and Central Africa Tennis Junior Championship, which ended on Sunday at the Dar es Salaam Gymkhana Club (DGC).

After days of preparations, the stage is now set for the Kijitonyama Open Junior Tennis tournament which gets underway today at the club’s court.

Tanzania will field 12 players in the 2016 East Africa Junior tennis Championship opening on January 9 in Nairobi, Kenya.

Uganda cannot host a six-nation ICC World Cricket League Division Three tournament because of security concerns, cricket's governing body says.
