DR Congo earthquake kills children

At least 38 people have reportedly died in the east of the Democratic Republic Congo following a rebel attack on UN and army positions.

DAR ES SALAAM, April 14 (Reuters) - A lightning strike killed six children and their teacher at a school in northwestern Tanzania on Tuesday, nearly two months after lightning storms caused deaths at another school in the area, a senior police official said.

More than 20 people, including women and children, are killed, most of them hacked to death in eastern DR Congo, UN peacekeepers say.
