EAC policy body under pressure to table electronic transaction bill

A Bill designed to lay down strategies to give the requisite support to persons with disabilities will soon be tabled before the East African Legislative Assembly (Eala).

The East African Legislative Assembly sitting in Kampala, Uganda,  yesterday adjourned debate on the EAC Electronic Transactions Bill 2014 to pave way for stakeholders to make additional input. 
 The adjournment came after a request for deferment of the debate by the Chair of Council of Ministers, Hon Dr. Abdallah Saadaala was approved.
