West Africa's Ebola crisis is likely to last until the end of 2015, says the head of the World Health Organization body dealing with the epidemic.

The World Health Organization says the goals it set itself for treatment and safe burials in West Africa's Ebola outbreak have largely been met.

The UN's health agency says the scale of the Ebola outbreak appears to be "vastly underestimated", as the death toll reaches 1,069.
