EDITORIAL: Away with poor leadership!

The business community in Tanzania wants to hold public debates and invite candidates vying for public posts to state their case before the general election is held in October. The idea is to provide a platform for the business community and other stakeholders to get to know their potential leaders and share ideas on what ought to be done if they are elected.

EDITORIAL: No excuse for such poor showing in ICT

Besides not regularly uploading updated materials, some govt websites have dead links and are not user friendly. The shortage of ICT specialists is not a good enough excuse, considering just how important this whole thing is.

What is more, our farmers continue to engage in old school forms of tilling the land. About 70 per cent of our farmers use the hoe. Inputs that would boost productivity per hectare, such as fertiliser and insecticides, are very minimal.
