EDITORIAL: Floods: Dear price we pay for not preparing
That a three-hour downpour left 200 houses under water in Dar es Salaam Tuesday is enough reason to worry – but it doesn’t come as a surprise. Houses flooded, cars submerged and roads impassable – it’s part of life, sadly ‘acceptable’, this time, year in year out. But why do we never take appropriate action about it? Again, it’s time to reflect.
