As campaigns for the October 25 polls hot up, some politicians have been using all manner of tactics to gain and consolidate support. However, tactics which some have been employing are totally lacking in terms of civility.

Police head for Zanzibar to hunt for thugs who threw acid at Brit girls

British police are to join the hunt for attackers who doused two teenage girls in acid while on a gap-year in Zanzibar. Best pals Kirstie Trup and Katie Gee , both 18, needed skin grafts after two men on a scooter threw battery acid at them last August.
