Availing ample and clean water for Tanzanians remains a critical problem even as we count only months ahead of 2015, the year by which, according to the UN-set Millennium Development Goals, at least 75 per cent of the people in every country should have access to clean and sustainable drinking water.

The Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (Tuwasa) here is planning to double its supply of water to municipality residents in a bid to curb the shortage of the resource which they have been experiencing for many years.
