HEALTH: Agency to monitor medical charges in private hospitals

The Ag Khan Health Services, Dar-es Salaam (AKHS-Dar), has embarked on an ambitious three-year medical intervention strategy to extend health services to most remote areas of Tanzania, as it marks fifty years of operation in the country.

Emergence Department at the Muhimbili National Hospital (MNH) has asked the government to increase treatment charges for them to serve patients better.

The charges against health minister Obadiah Moyo relate to alleged procurement irregularities.
