Mediators in South Sudan crisis propose war crimes court set up

The African Union says a a special court will be set up to try war crimes suspects in South Sudan, which has been hit by a brutal conflict since 2013.

Direct talks between South Sudan’s president and the country’s rebel chief have failed to strike a peace deal, mediators said Friday, but added that discussions would continue over the weekend.
