Mkapa calls for law on natural resources benefits

Attorney General George Masaju on Thursday called for transparent and proper management of natural resources for the nation to benefit from them.

A Scottish international consultant in oil and gas, Mr Gordon McIntosh, urged Tanzania yesterday to refrain from the allure of depending on multinationals in the building of supporting infrastructure for natural gas investments.

An international conference on natural resources accounting and finance will start here tomorrow.
