Arusha. The United Nations says it wants lasting peace and stability in Burundi ahead of next year’s general election.

 As the debate on the eligible contestant for the 2015 presidential seat continues to heat the polity, the public must get ready for more surprises as days go on.

Tanzanians are heading for a landmark General Election, slated for October 2015. Landmark, because any sincere commentator is likely to note that for the first time in Tanzania’s democratic history, no one can say for sure who our next president is going to be.

The stage is set for the 15th amendment of the 1977 Constitution prior to next year’s General Election, following an agreement between President Jakaya Kikwete and the Coalition of Defenders of the People’s Constitution (Ukawa).
