Nigeria's new president says he is willing to negotiate with Boko Haram leaders for the release of more than 200 schoolgirls kidnapped last year.

Suspected Boko Haram militants have kidnapped eight girls in northern Nigeria, following last month's mass abduction, police say.

A march will be held in the Nigerian capital, Abuja, to press for the release of some 190 schoolgirls abducted by Islamist militants.
