Poll campaigns set to end with a bang

The ruling CCM yesterday launched its election campaigns with pomp and pageantry.

CCM says it will  wind up its campaign by holding “historic” rallies tomorrow in Mwanza, Mbeya, Mtwara, Kigoma, Mara, Tanga and Kilimanjaro regions.

Political parties have reportedly breached the election ethics with impunity as the electoral body seems unable to enforce the code of ethics agreed by all parties. Analysts say lack of action will create chaos that could risk disrupting the poll.

The violence that erupted in Tarime District on Thursday resulting into the death of one person and leaving five other people injured must concern everybody who wishes for a peaceful Tanzania at this time of election campaign.
