Precision Air to resume Kigoma flights

Precision Air (PW) yesterday increased frequencies on three of its major routes as it seeks to cement its dominance amid growing competition from rivals.

>Precision Air (PW) has announced to introduce two direct domestic flights and suspend one international route starting Wednesday this week.

The state-owned company had suspended the route in August 2014 and resumed it on Saturday evening.

Financial woes that subjected Tanzania’s leading private passenger airline Precision Air (PW) into a staggering Sh30 billion loss in 2012 are nothing, but an eye opener for the company, the company’s chairman and majority shareholder, Michael Shirima has said.

1. Air Tanzania.From 1st June will resume flying to Entebbe, Uganda. On 2nd June Hahaya, Harare and Lusaka will resume. The Dar - Mumbai will resume on 3rd June. Flights to Bujumbura is scheduled for July 2nd.

2. Emirates.
Will resume flights July 2nd. All flights will originate from Dubai.

3. Ethiopian  Airlines.
Operating from Addis Ababa, will resume daily flights to Tanzania from June 1st landing in Kilimanjaro, Dar es salaam and Zanzibar.
