Result delays met with riots and chaos

The opposition Presidential candidate Mr Edward Lowassa has requested that the  National Electoral Commission (NEC)  be diligent in releasing election results especially in parts of the country where he believes his party has won.

>Riots are  a primitive means of protest applied by people who may have genuine grievances that can be better addressed through peaceful processions or dialogue with the authorities.

The East African Community (EAC) has released a preliminary report on last Sunday's polls stating it is concerned by the number disputes arising from disputed presidential results.
