Scores killed in Uganda attacks

At least 69 people have been killed in an attack on villages in Katsina state, north-western Nigeria, officials and witnesses say.

At least 48 people are killed and around 23,000 forced from their homes by heavy flooding in Malawi, the country's leader says.

Dozens of people are killed in a suspected Boko Haram attack on two Nigerian villages near where more than 200 schoolgirls were abducted in April.

At least 18 people have been killed in new attacks in Kenya’s Lamu coastal region, the same area where some 60 people were massacred last month, the Kenyan Red Cross said today.
