Relief as court spares 680 houses from demolition

Over 680 city residents whose houses face demolition in the Msimbazi Valley won reprieve yesterday after the High Court (Land Division) temporarily halted the exercise. The court sided with Mr Ali Kondo and six others who had filed an application on behalf of 681 others last week that the operation should exclude their houses until a representative suit they intend to file to challenge the exercise is heard and determined.
