Uganda troops battle S Sudan rebels

Battles between government troops and rebels raged in South Sudan, as the UN said child soldiers had joined the more than month-long conflict with atrocities committed on both sides.

The Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) on Tuesday started sending another 2,754 fresh troops to Somalia under the command of a newly appointed Ugandan contingent commander to the African Union Mission to Somalia.
