UN in South Sudan famine warning

The President of South Sudan, Salva Kiir, tells the BBC his country faces one of its worst famines unless the current conflict is ended.

The United Nations Security Council warned on Thursday of a possible famine next year in South Sudan and an attendant risk of “regional instability.”
