Victoria University are 2014 CECAFA Champions

 Victoria University Captain Martin Mpuga receives the trophy from the Sudanese State Minister for Youth and Sports Hon. Yahia Hamad. Next is CECAFA Secretary General Nicholas Musonye.
 The champions also received a cash prize of USD 30,000.

CECAFA Nile Basin Cup hosts, Al-Merreikh went top of group ‘A’ after winning 4-2 against neighbours Malakia FC from South Sudan. Al-Merreikh led the first half 3-0 with goals coming from Pascal Wawa 6’, Kor Traore 26’ and Tia Togbi Olivier 42’.
