>Tanzania’s forests and woodland sequester 76 million tonnes of carbon dioxide annually, the UN-Redd Policy Board was told here yesterday. This is despite the country emitting less than 50 million tonnes of the gas blamed for destroying the ozone layer, the minister of State in the Vice President’s Office (Environment), Dr Binilith Mahenge, said.
