CCM beats Opposition despite decline

>The opposition yesterday chided CCM after the ruling party penalised six members for flouting its regulations, saying nothing will come out of the decision.

 A group that is largely made up of CCM Members of the Constituent Assembly (MCAs), Tanzania Kwanza, yesterday came out to condemn a move by their counterparts from the Coalition of Defenders of the People’s Constitution (Ukawa) to organise countrywide demonstrations seeking for the suspension of the draft katiba as fronted by the Constituent Assembly (CA).

Chadema chairman for Moshi Region Philemon Ndesamburo said he would file a petition in the High Court here today to challenge the victory of Prof Jumanne Maghembe (CCM - Mwanga) and Dr Mathayo David (CCM – Same West).
