Dodoma. The CCM presidential nomination enters a crucial stage when the Central Committee (CC) meets today.

Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) will re-run parliamentary preferential polls in 10 constituencies after its National Executive Committee (NEC) found out that the polls were marred by irregularities. The decision was announced by CCM publicity secretary Nape Nnauye when announcing those who were nominated to run for parliamentary seats through the party’s ticket.

Overconfidence and what was viewed in some quarters as contempt towards his party and some its top leaders is what cost the otherwise very able and popular former Premier Edward Lowassa the nomination as CCM presidential candidate, The Citizen can report.
