Decade of upholding values and accountability

No doubt issues about the Union structure have overshadowed the whole agenda on constitution making. Before and after the commencement of the Constituent Assembly (CA), various analysts have been talking and writing a lot on the Union structure and forget other fundamental elements contained in the same Draft Constitution.

There has been ongoing debate on the importance of having in the new anticipated Constitution national core values as a way of determining the kind of society and national leadership a country needs for now and for posterity.

As a child, my Catholic upbringing taught me that a good Christian is a kind, caring, loving and forgiving one. The 10 Commandments were drummed into our ears that killing was ungodly! We were taught Christian values that everything on earth and every action of mankind came from God to fulfil the purpose of creation.
