Mtikila, ambaye hakuwa na wakili wa kumwakilisha, aliifungua kesi hiyo ya kikatiba katika Masijala Kuu Kanda ya Dar es Salaam na kupewa namba 14 ya mwaka huu.

Wakati Serikali ikijiandaa kuwasilisha muswada wa Mahakama ya Kadhi katika mkutano wa 19 wa Bunge unaotarajia kuanza leo, Mwenyekiti wa Democratic Party (DP), Mchungaji Christopher Mtikila amefungua kesi ya madai Mahakama Kuu Tanzania, Kanda ya Dar es Salaam, akipinga hatua hiyo.

Mtikila anapinga kuanzishwa Mahakama ya Kadhi, kwamba ni kinyume cha Katiba ya nchi.

Prime Minister Mizengo Pinda said yesterday that the government withdrew the Bill seeking to introduce Kadhi Court to allow more consultations with committees dealing with the issue.
