Our health care system has a myriad of problems. Government health facilities lack essential drugs and medical equipment; one physician serves 30,000 patients while the World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends 1,000. We have only one pharmacist for 50,000 Tanzanians while a single nurse contends with 60,000!
