France urges special Libya support

The French government says it has evacuated French and British nationals from Libya, as battles rage between government forces and militias.

The Islamic State group is extending its territory inside Libya, aiming to gain access to the country's oil wells, France's defence minister says.

In December 2015, all roads will lead to the French capital, Paris, for the 21st Conference of Parties (COP21), where a climate deal is expected to be clinched, heading off a repeat of the failed Copenhagen climate change conference in 2009.
