Gatsby Trust keen to support SMEs

At the Global Smart Partnership dialogue, one of the most significant highlights was an impassioned call by President Jakaya Kikwete on the role of governments and society to support Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

The Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) has urged the Chinese government to provide direct support to Tanzanian small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

President Jakaya Kikwete has said the government is keen to meet the goal of the Maputo Declaration on agriculture and food security, which seeks to ensure funds for agriculture are 10 per cent of the national budget in the near future.
