JK calls for support of SMEs, investment

INTERVIEW. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) play a crucial role in the Tanzanian economy. They, however, face capital woes, a lack of entrepreneurial skills, bureaucracy and costly legal, regulatory and administrative environments.

The Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) has urged the Chinese government to provide direct support to Tanzanian small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The government yesterday called on individuals and institutions to invest in the manufacture of human medicines to cut imports.
