ZIFF ANNOUNCES NEW COMPETITION AT ZIFF 2015 — EAST AFRICAN MUSIC VIDEO AWARDS


 In response to a rising groundswell of requests and recognizing the role and place ZIFF has in developing the film and creative industries in Tanzania and east Africa ZIFF has today announced the ZIFF East African Music Video Awards Competition. The Awards are managed in collaboration with Push Mobile Media Limited.

The Award aims to highlight the link between film and music as well as support the growing music video production industry in the region.

 Monday was a special day at ZIFF 2015, with a unique and memorable day of film and music in perfect harmony. July 20th saw the screening of the Moussa Diallo biopic, Sound Tracks of Life Moussa Diallo – followed by a live performance from Moussa Diallo himself. The film screening was introduced by Diallo himself, and filmmaker Helle Toft, who elaborated on the personal yet universal themes in the film; reconciliation and forgiveness.
