 HakiArdhi, a local Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) that works to promote and ensure realization of rights to land - will use its 20th anniversary celebration today to discuss continuing land problems in the country.

The CCM presidential candidate, Dr John Magufuli, has pledged to resolve the controversy in which 52 ranches were given away haphazardly when opposition backed-presidential aspirant Edward Lowassa took charge of the ministry of Water and Livestock Development.

The Regional Consultative Committee (RCC), a body that oversees development projects in the region, was told last week that land experts had been deployed to work on the matter.
