The Queen’s baton arrives in the country today from Rwanda as it continues its tour of various countries around the world.

The country was treated to shocking news last Saturday following the sudden death of one of the prominent members of parliament, Capt John Komba. It was shocking because the news came when many Tanzanians were not aware of any life-threatening illness facing Capt Komba. Many people, including those close to Komba in personal, social and political lives, were not aware of any serious illness which would have robbed him of his life.
