Kenya shuts money transfer firms

Kenya's President Uhuru Kenyatta promises to unban Somalia-linked money firms once the central bank sets new guidelines for their operations.

Various councils in the country have continued the trend of transferring funds into their accounts without implementing the intended projects.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has asked financial institutions to increase usage of mobile phones in their services to accelerate access to financial services by majority of entrepreneurs.
