Local content gas policy ready 2015

The government has unveiled a draft local content policy for the oil and gas industry.

Dar es Salaam. The government is set to prepare the National Local Content Strategy before the end of this year for guiding investors on how Tanzanians have to benefit from booming investments in the gas sector.

Tanzania should set up a unit for examining local companies and linking them with multinational corporations, an expert says.

The Chief Secretary of the Government of Tanzania, Amb. Ombeni Sefue, will chair a roundtable dinner on ‘Local Content’, on Monday in Dar es Salaam, to promote dialogue on local content amongst relevant stakeholders by providing cross-country lessons on Local Content Policies.
